Join our culinary team as a Commis I at the Flying Elephant in Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha! We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support our kitchen operations and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients Follow recipes and cooking instructions as directed by senior kitchen staff Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Properly store and rotate food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness Assist in plating and presentation of dishes Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during service Perform basic cooking tasks under the supervision of experienced chefs Help with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks Learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma or certificate preferred Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to use standard kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively * Positive attitude and passion for the culinary arts
