The Commis reports directly to the Demi Chef de Partie with accountability of preparing quality food.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage the daily activities
- Participate in the preparation of food.
- Perform daily tasks according to required standards.
- Ensure that hygiene and quality standards are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that Monitoring Records i.e. temperature checks are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist the Chefs in making requisitions and doing inventory.
- Assist the Chefs in storage and labeling of food.
Job Knowledge:
Good working skills in Hot section of kitchen, with decent knowledge of various international cuisines.
Education of minimum 12 grade pass.
Be able to read, write and speak in English language.
Ability to work for buffet and A la carte.
Basic food hygiene certified.
Similar experience of 1-2 years working in a reputed 4/5-star hotel or catering company.
