Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Commie Chef to join our culinary team. This entry-level position is ideal for an aspiring chef looking to build a strong foundation in a professional kitchen environment. Under the guidance of senior chefs, the Commies Chef will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and learn various cooking techniques.

What you will do:

Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards. Chop, dice, and prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of food and equipment. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries. Learn and master various cooking techniques and knife skills. Follow instructions accurately and efficiently from senior chefs. Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school certification/diploma is a plus Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. Physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation principles is a plus Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if needed. Hardworking and with friendly attitude.
