We are looking for Commis Chef to join our team at Eatwell Healthy Eating Restaurant. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.
- Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and or meal plan menus according to food recipes and standards.
- Liaise with the Chef de cuisine to keep open lines of communication regarding work instructions.
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years+ of relevant experience in the food industry.
- Experience working with Health food concept required but not essential.
- Knowledge of all F&B standard operating procedures, quality presentation and products.
- Strong understanding of HACCP
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to assess quality control and adherence to service standards.
