The Commis Chef is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food items while ensuring prompt service, high standards of hygiene, and efficient kitchen operations. The role supports the kitchen team in maintaining quality, speed, and cleanliness to uphold the restaurant's brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in opening and closing the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all internal standards and safety norms.
Prepare ingredients and station setups according to standard recipes and restaurant specifications.
Support receiving, stocking, and proper storage of goods and supplies.
Maintain and clean kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas, ensuring proper degreasing, sanitizing, and organization.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality food items consistent with brand quality standards.
Contribute to achieving service targets by ensuring timely and efficient food preparation.
Complete routine kitchen checklists on time and according to required standards.
Uphold strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required to have
a high school qualification.
Should possess
1 - 2 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food establishment.
Needs to hold
a valid Food Handler Certificate.
