Job Description

The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in accordance with the standards set by the kitchen management. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience and grow within a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen. Ensure food is prepared and presented to the required quality and standards. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen. Rotate stock and ensure proper labeling to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes. Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper handling and storage of food items. Be willing to learn and develop skills by taking feedback from senior chefs. Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
