The Commis Chef is responsible to prepare consistent, high-quality food product
Ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service
You will be also responsible for assisting CDP and Sous Chef in cooking and then ensuring that all stations are clean.
accurately measuring meal components for the station chef
preparing, plating and presenting culinary items as directed by the station chef
receiving deliveries and ensuring that all requested products are of high quality and arrive on schedule
preparing simple condiments, salads and sauces
performing basic cleaning chores and thoroughly sanitising all workstations
assisting in inventory management by taking stock of supplies and notifying the restaurant's purchasing manager of any low and depleted supplies
disposing of all expired food items
