We seek a motivated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team. The Commis will assist the Senior Chefs in preparing and producing various health-focused dishes. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a kitchen environment and a passion for creating nutritious meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking menu items, including breakfast, appetizers, sandwiches, main courses, and drinks.
- Follow established recipes and techniques to ensure high-quality food production.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, chopping, and mixing as directed by the Senior Chef.
- Clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the team in inventory management, including receiving and storing ingredients.
- Learn and apply new cooking techniques and skills under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Commis or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy ingredients and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with breakfast focused restaurants.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
