Job Summary:
James Cafe is looking for a passionate and hardworking
Commis Chef
to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensure high-quality food standards. This is a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic and creative culinary environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing ingredients and basic cooking under the supervision of senior chefs Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times Properly store food items and monitor stock levels Follow kitchen procedures and health & safety guidelines Support the team during service and perform other duties as required
Requirements:
Previous experience as a commis or kitchen assistant is preferred Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations Passion for cooking and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays Currently based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate
