Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking (e.g. chopping vegetables, cutting meat, preparing sauces).
Follow instructions from senior chefs and help in cooking/preparing menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Ensure food items are properly stored and labelled.
Comply with all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
Support the kitchen team in daily operations and service.
Learn and develop skills in various sections of the kitchen.
Requirements:
Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
Passion for food and willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary school diploma or certificate (preferred but not required).
Basic food hygiene or safety certification is an advantage.
