The Commis 3 - Bakery is an entry-level position in the bakery section of the kitchen. The role supports senior bakery staff in the preparation, baking, and presentation of bakery items such as bread, rolls, pastries, and other baked goods. This position is ideal for someone new to professional baking who is eager to learn and grow within a structured kitchen environment.
Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, and other baked goods as per recipe and standards.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
Ensure proper handling and storage of all baking ingredients and products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery section at all times.
Support senior bakers with mise en place and daily production.
Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters under supervision.
Ensure all food products are prepared in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards.
Follow all kitchen procedures and recipes set by the Pastry Chef or Bakery Chef.
Assist with inventory control by properly storing ingredients and reporting low stock levels.
Help with plating or packaging bakery items as required.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
