What We're Looking For

A proven track record as a Commis 2 or similar role, in a Luxury Hotel environment or Fine Dining Restaurant, delivering Sensational Experiences synonymous with FIVE's Award-Winning Service Quality. A Culinary Degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, but not mandatory. Outstanding Pre-Opening experience in setting up dynamic, seamless and fast-paced Kitchen Operations. Demonstrated proficiency in Food Preparation, and Presentation and Plating Methods. Extensive Knowledge of diverse International Cuisine, expert Culinary Techniques, and contemporary Food Trends. Proven ability to Follow Instructions Accurately and Exceed Expectations, even when working under pressure. Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills to engage effectively with fellow 'FIVERs' and other stakeholders. A Meticulous Eye for Detail, and a Passion for ensuring that every aspect of Food Quality and Presentation is perfectly curated, creating a 'FIVE-Star' Dining Experience. Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles and practices, and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, Food Hygiene Standards, and Best Practices in Restaurant Operations. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the requirements of the Hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Oversees the Preparation and Presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the Highest Culinary Standards. Provides critical support to Senior Chefs in the Kitchen, ensuring that Food Production and Service are orchestrated seamlessly, and meet even the most Discerning Guest's Expectations. Takes charge of Mise En Place and Stock Rotation to guarantee the smooth flow of Operations, maintaining an organised and efficient Kitchen Environment. Executes Tasks assigned by Senior Chefs promptly and efficiently. Actively engages in Menu Development, offering bespoke and innovative ideas for New Dishes that elevate the FIVE dining experience. Adheres rigorously to all Food Safety and Hygiene Standards, ensuring the premium quality our guests expect from us. Fosters Effective Collaboration with fellow 'FIVERs,' ensuring seamless Operations in our vibrant and dynamic Kitchens. Contributes to the creation of a Positive and Productive Work Environment that embodies the quintessential 'Vibe at FIVE.' Stays up-to-date with advancements and developments in Culinary Practices, Techniques and Trends. Embraces and upholds 'FIVE-Star' Standards uncompromisingly in every aspect of the role.
