Key Responsibilities
Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking activities
Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and sauces as per recipes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
Properly store food items and assist with stock rotation (FIFO)
Ensure minimal food wastage and report shortages to supervisors
Support kitchen operations during peak service hours
Comply with company policies and kitchen procedures
Requirements
Previous experience as
Commis 2 or Commis 3
in a hotel or restaurant
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
Preferred Qualifications
Culinary certification or hotel management diploma (an advantage)
Experience in [Cuisine type - e.g., Continental / Arabic / Asian]
