Job Description

Role Summary:

A Chef Commi 1 at a Beach Restaurant in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, is responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest quality standards and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Mise-en-place:

Prepare all necessary ingredients and equipment for the day's operations, including chopping, peeling, and measuring.

Cooking:

Assist the Chef de Partie in cooking dishes according to recipes and specifications, ensuring proper techniques and timing.

Cleaning and Sanitation:

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.

Inventory Management:

Help manage food inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure that kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and in good working order.

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to achieve team goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Customer Service:

Contribute to providing excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Culinary Skills:

Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and methods.

Hygiene and Sanitation:

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment. Experience working in a high-volume restaurant.
