We are hiring for a highly skilled Commis Chef 1 to join our high-end restaurant at Alfardan Hospitality.
Responsible in producing quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff.
Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide.
Monitor periodically expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section
Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils. Sanitation at the assigned work area
Assess quality control and adhere to operation service standards
Adhere to the restaurant's policies and procedures.
Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies per training to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
Follows good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.
Carry out any other duties as required by management.
Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning.
Establishing and maintaining effective inter-departmental working relationships.
Responsible for the operation of his designated section.
Assisting the Chef de Partie & Reporting to any assigned task.
Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience as Commis 1 or Commis 2
Hotel Management, culinary or similar discipline
