Assist in preparing and cooking in dishes such as curries, gravies, tandoor items, breads, and rice.
Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards set by the kitchen management.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation in compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
Support senior chefs during service and food preparation.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO).
Assist in stock checking and reporting shortages to senior staff.
Minimize food wastage and handle ingredients responsibly.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation policies.
Carry out any other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
Basic knowledge of spices, gravies, tandoor, and curry preparation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
