KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance

  • Follow portion control and minimize food wastage to support cost efficiency.
  • Use raw materials and ingredients carefully to avoid unnecessary expenses.
  • Assist in accurate inventory tracking by informing seniors about low stock items.
  • Handle kitchen tools and equipment responsibly to reduce damage and maintenance costs.
Customer
  • Prepare food consistently as per recipe standards to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served on time during operations.
  • Accommodate special dietary requests as guided by the Chef de Partie.
  • Take pride in delivering traditional Persian dishes that reflect the restaurant's authenticity.
Internal Process
  • Follow kitchen standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food handling, storage, and preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation in line with HACCP standards.
  • Assist in daily mise en place, prepping ingredients as required by senior chefs.
  • Report equipment issues or potential hazards immediately to ensure safe kitchen operations.
  • Coordinate with the Head Chef and restaurant management team to plan and execute menu changes, seasonal promotions, and kitchen renovations with minimal disruption to daily operations.
People
  • Work collaboratively with all kitchen team members, supporting a respectful and cooperative environment.
  • Actively learn from senior chefs and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Attend briefings, trainings, and team meetings as scheduled.
  • Support new team members during their onboarding or training period.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Chef in a fine dining or authentic cuisine restaurant, preferably Middle Eastern or Iranian.
  • Basic knowledge of traditional Persian cooking methods, ingredients, and food presentation preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior chefs.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene certification is an advantage; basic understanding of HACCP practices
