Position

MAKE UP FOR EVER is looking for a Commercial Manager UAE&Qatar to report to the OGCC Country Director. The Commercial Manager ensures distributors and market growth, manages sales operational effectiveness, identifies sales efficiencies, improves sales processes with regards his/her markets. Leads and develops the colleagues within the Commercial Structure.
Ensures Distributor and Market growth:
  • Executes Commercial plans for MUFE, working together with the respective departments (Marketing, VM, Education etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Partner with the Brand Manager/GM at Distributor level to ensure proper counter negotiations, new locations, market visits, business reviews etc.
  • Achieve goals, budgets, and plans in line with brand strategies
  • Achieves budgeted sales and productivity goals for assigned markets
  • Reviews weekly and monthly brand data and budget results with Commercial Director and Finance to proactively remedy potential problems. Agrees and executes upon adjustment.
  • Evaluates competitive challenges for brand and identifies opportunities for growth and profit enhancement with Commercial & Marketing Teams. Monitors competitive activity and trends in markets, customers, products, prices, and channels.
  • Collaborates with Commercial Director, Finance Director, General Manager to execute yearly plans and plan for budgets and revisions.
  • Identify risk areas in sales plan and propose corrective action to ensure targets are achieved \xe2\x80\x93 RS, IMS and GS.
  • Achieves monthly sell-through and sell-in targets in cooperation with Commercial Director
Improves business processes and identifies efficiencies
  • Reviews distribution needs, advices management of any breakdown in communications or loss of sales contact or services, evaluates distribution needs.
  • Build and nurture relationships with retailers and distributors ensuring information is shared.
  • Liaises with brand regarding shopper behaviour and new consumer trends.
  • Regularly reviews key corporate sales, forecasting etc. processes in liaison with the Commercial team, Demand Planner, Business Analyst, and Supply ChainTeam.

Customer Relations/ Service
  • Builds and strengthens business partnerships
  • Creates and maintains a network of cooperative relationships with business partners and key customers.
  • Negotiates yearly sales targets (RS, IMS and GS) with Distributors in coordination with Commercial Director
Leads and develops people
  • Providing leadership, guidance and management to staff, acting with integrity, provides input in setting performance objectives for the team, etc.
  • Articulates a compelling mission beyond the day-to-day tasks \xe2\x80\x93 in a way that inspires others to follow.
  • Sets performance objectives for direct reports. Clearly communicates priorities and required results.
  • Provides coaching, constructive feedback, development opportunities, and recognition to direct reports and key distributor personnel as appropriate.
  • Identifies opportunities to develop high potential staff through involvement in new projects, expanded accountabilities, promotions, and/or transfers.
  • Ensures proper training of team.
  • Makes final decisions in the hiring process of team.


Profile

University education level or equivalent min 5 years of experience Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus Team management will spend time on the market with the retail team Experience of indirect management of multiple distributors across multiple markets Experience of working in a matrix structure and managing a team of Direct & indirect reports Leadership role in a global business Leadership role in a sales function in a global business National brand-building experience Proven success developing subordinates throughout all levels of an organization Basic understanding of the country\xe2\x80\x99s economic, political, social, cultural, and business landscape and issues Knowledgeable about the company and its culture Extensive industry and distributor knowledge and network of relationships in the industry \xe2\x80\x93 with customers, distributors, retailers, suppliers, and other business partners Analytical skills a must Process orientated and continually looking to make efficiencies to process and procedure Organization/ Self-motivation: A self-starter with ability to work on multiple projects Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Flexibility and ability to work with decision makers and to react effectively to change Ownership: Ability to lead a cross-functional team and interface with international markets
