Overview of role:



Manager- Commercial & Contract will lead the contract lifecycle management and commercial workflow for Gradiant's projects in the Middle East. This includes projects handled from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Oman across the Middle East. The major job duties and responsibilities are below:

Specific Duties/responsibilities:



Pre-Sales Commercial Support

Coordinate development of firm and final proposals along with proposals, sales, finance, legal and business development teams ("front end team") Support proposals team in populating offer release template for management sign off in accordance with authorization matrix. Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments. Support the other departments with queries about commercial processes. Manage commercial risks and devise strategies to overcome them. Prepare risk register with support from proposals, sales, finance, legal. Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations. Prepare financial models/cashflow.
Commercial & Contract Administration

Create/maintain Sales Orders/Credit/Debit Note in SAP. Invoice scheduling and cash flow monitoring Project reports to Commercial Project Delivery Director Ensure billing documents (e.g. tax invoices) are generated and submitted to client timely in accordance with contract. Work with finance and project management functions for placement/collection of bank guarantees, placement of project insurances. Support project managers in budget tracking and variance analysis. Maintain project risks and trends register for regular review with project manager. Administer contractual terms and conditions along with execution team project manager for certain projects. Support project managers in preparing project close out report, final accounts and lessons learned. Support supply chain manager in flowing down client's terms and conditions to suppliers and sub-contractors. Managing commercial risks, such as credit and pricing risks, and implementing appropriate risk management strategies. Assisting with the preparation of commercial reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders. Work on any claims (Extension of Time / Variation Orders) with project teams associated with contracts with client / suppliers / subcontractors. Prepare monthly contract performance report for key projects and highlight key risks and opportunities. Maintain executed contracts repository.

Education, Skills & Experience:



Technical background (Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering preferred) Legal qualification will be an advantage 8+ yrs. experience working in progressive technical/commercial/sales/projects roles in the industrial and/or municipal water/wastewater with clear contribution to meeting business unit revenue targets Familiarity with various project delivery models like DB, EPC and O&M. Familiarity with DBOO, BOT project delivery models is a bonus. Well versed with various project agreements like EPC Agreement, O&M Agreement. Familiarity with Shareholders Agreement, Water Purchase Agreement is a bonus. Experience with SAP SD and PS modules. Ability to build relationships and communicate with customers and local stakeholders is critical. Able to work with various heads of departments to move forward the project - ability to negotiate through conflicting scenarios and make a decision in a timely manner. Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth environment and don multiple hats, if required Curiosity and strong drive to improve status-quo while working in a semi-autonomous environment. Be very comfortable with developing and nurturing relationships across the board. Excellent communication, presentation and drafting skills to convey ideas and technical/commercial information effectively
