Beyond COVID-19, G42 Healthcare plans to conduct research and development on genomics, imaging and diagnostics, and digitisation programmes to support the health of future generations. This includes a collaboration to set up a wastewater monitoring lab in Abu Dhabi, as well as automating and optimising central testing laboratories in the UAE.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Working experience in Genomics applications especially Metagenomics and a good understanding of other areas in the Omics spectra

Leading the research management process including the DOH/DHA application processes and documentation, ethics and regulatory policies

Review market trends in Omics and stay up-to-date with the literature to support development of new business cases

Present research, collaboration and business plans to an audience of diverse backgrounds from scientists to non-technical higher management with appropriate scientific/technical depth so as to engage the audience

Participate in meetings and discussions designed to further G42 HC's mandate of bringing value to biotech & healthcare stakeholders

Collaborate with other SMEs from multiple scientific fields such as data engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, multi-omics, clinical diagnostics, biobanking etc

Technically lead projects or products, from conceptualization to launch and/or completion

Assess global and local market dynamics and demands in Omics to enhance customer experience by not only interpreting their needs but offer alternative cutting edge solutions to satisfy client requirements

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have

Ph.D. or MD with specialization in Genomics preferably human and microbial genomics

Business and marketing training which can be through professional courses, diploma or degree eg. MBA

Hands on experience with a track record in research or scientific support at a similar facility

Product commercialization experience (conceptualization, market analysis, business case development, partnership management, etc)

Customer, healthcare professional, and technological partner-facing experience (presentations, written communications, company/product/team online representation, etc)

Middle East / GCC experience
