Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Cold Storage & Reefer Technician

to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have

at least 5 years of hands-on experience

working in a

Container Terminal or Cargo Terminal

environment, specializing in the maintenance and repair of

refrigerated containers (reefers), cold storage systems, and related port equipment

.

This role is essential in ensuring that all

temperature-sensitive cargo

is handled and maintained under

optimal conditions

to preserve product integrity and meet international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of

refrigerated containers (reefer units)

and

cold storage systems

. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ensure that all refrigeration equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Conduct pre-trip inspections (PTI) and ensure compliance with operational protocols. Collaborate with terminal operations, cargo handling, and logistics teams to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls. Ensure adherence to all

health, safety, and environmental (HSE)

regulations within the terminal.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum

5 years of experience

as a

Reefer Technician

or

Cold Storage Technician

in a

Container Terminal or Cargo Terminal

environment. Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing

refrigeration and electrical systems

(carrier, thermoking, Daikin, etc.). Strong understanding of

port equipment operations

and maintenance best practices. Technical certification or diploma in

Refrigeration, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

(preferred). Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced port or logistics environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shift rotations.
