Department & Section: Heavy Section Mill

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Knowledge on basic principles of mill process automation.

Basic computer skills.

Basic knowledge on cold saw operation.

Good written and spoken English skills.

Communication skills.

Skill to watch monitor, computer, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly and cutting lengths obtained.

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)

Industrial Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering

Professional Experience (Must haves)

Minimum 5 years Experience as pulpit operator of which at least 2years as main control pulpit operator in a bar or rod mill.

Key Performance Indicators

To reduce the operation delay below 3.6%.

To reduce non-prime material below 0.3%.

To reduce short lengths and optimize material lengths to achieve maximum yield.

Zero accident.
