Job Description

A Coffee Specialist, Roast and Grind position involves roasting coffee beans to specific profiles and grinding them for various purposes, such as creating coffee for retail or in-house use. This role includes tasks like maintaining equipment, ensuring quality, and assisting in product development.

Roasting:

Operating and maintaining coffee roasting machines. Preparing and blending green coffee beans to achieve desired roast levels. Monitoring roasting processes and making adjustments as needed. Documenting roasting profiles and maintaining production records.

Grinding:

Using various grinders (e.g., burr grinders) to produce different grind sizes for various brewing methods. Adjusting grind settings to optimize extraction for different coffee types.

Quality Control:

Performing quality control tests on roasted coffee, including aroma, flavor, and consistency assessments. Participating in cupping sessions to evaluate coffee quality and consistency. Ensuring that roasted coffee meets company standards.
Required:

Passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about roasting techniques: Previous experience: Minimum 1 year in coffee-related roles Familiarity with coffee roasting equipment and processes Understanding of coffee origins, varieties, and flavor profiles
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

knowledge of Roasting and Grinding equipment operation and maintenance Understanding of coffee cupping and tasting methods Proficiency in record-keeping and data entry for production processes
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Roasting and Grinding: 1 year (Required)

Arabic (Preferred)
