Coating/Painting Supervisor - with BE Mechanical/Electrical back ground.

A medium sized specialist coating company (Soon Diversifying for fully automated coating system) based in the Middle East requires Coating Supervisors for managing and supervising the coating of High Voltage Insulators with Silicone Coating.

The Location

At various project locations in Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and nearby countries in the Middle East.

The Role

The Coating Supervisor will be responsible for Project Operation and Supervision at site coating facility which will consist of the following: -

COATING APPLICATION SITES ACROSS OMAN, SAUDI ARABIA AND KUWAIT.

We anticipate having another 6 to 8 project sites in Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait where the coating application will be carried out using Automated Coating machine with a team of experienced sprayers who will work under the overall direction of the relevant site Coating Supervisor responsible for the specific project alongwith 25-30 support workers who will also need to be trained and supervised for cleaning and packing of insulators to maintain a factory type coating operation.

Duration of each site operation will vary from 3 months to 12 months or more depending on project size.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Supervise coating activity fully with daily production target.

Oversee the coating processes on semi or full automated coating machine, ensure adherence to related procedures, plans and effective stage / final inspection and release process are adhered and ensure compliance to specifications.

Ensure coating applications are carried out within specification whilst optimising efficiency on product consumption, which is main KPI of supervisor.

Prepare quality control reports ensuring these meet client specifications.

Responsible for stock control of coating materials and Data documents of Coating product.

Maintain all QA/QC documentation in a clear and accessible format.

Perform audits of site activities to ensure they are in compliance to the agreed contract scope of work.

Initiate any training required with personnel involved with handling, cleaning and packing of insulators.

Identify unique requirements like Coating Testing, preservation & cleanliness from commencement to completion.

Initiate Non-Conformance reports or identify issues/concerns, implement correction & corrective action as required, Initiate 'Fit for Purpose' evaluation for non-conforming items and to assist / advise the Senior Coating Supervisor.

Liaise with the Third-Party Inspectors and Client representatives on documents specified to seek verification, assessment and appraisal of their conformity and fitness to client specifications.

Provide regular reports to the Executive Directors, Senior Supervisor and the Technical Manager on a daily / weekly basis.

Ability to work on own initiative and report to Managers / Directors based outside the country.

Ensure cost controls and work within set contract operating budgets.

Assist trouble shooting of all equipment's / repairs and maintenance including provision of training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.

Knowledge automated coating machine, tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade.

Skilled in the preparation and application of paints to different types of surfaces.

Skilled in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.

Experience in supervising other personnel and assigning tasks.

Skilled in both verbal and written communication in English & Hindi.

Computer skills - MS Office and Good communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications:

A Graduation (BE) in Mechanical or Electrical from a recognised institute.

Any automated coating industry experience is value advantage

Experience of supervising and managing teams of applicators.

Proficient level of written and spoken English and Hindi.

Good written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills.

Previous work experience in the Middle East region will be an advantage but not critical.

Basic IT and Computer skills (especially e-mails communication).

Valid driving licence (within a GCC country is preferred).

Salary depending on qualification and experience. Bachelor accommodation + Food + Visa shall be provided.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
