Job Description

The CNC Supervisor oversees daily operations of the CNC machining department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met. This role involves managing CNC operators, programming oversight, machine maintenance coordination, and continuous process improvement to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead CNC machinists/operators. Plan, schedule, and prioritize CNC machining jobs to meet production deadlines. Review CNC programs, setups, and tooling requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Train and mentor team members on CNC operations, safety protocols, and quality standards. Monitor production output, ensuring compliance with specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. Conduct regular inspections of machines, tools, and finished products. Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to reduce downtime. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production planning teams to optimize processes. Maintain accurate records of production, quality reports, and machine utilization. Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the machining area.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred). Proven experience (5+ years) in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls). Hands-on experience with milling, turning, and multi-axis machining centers. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T standards. Proficient in using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM). Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
