Job Description

Cherwell Interiors is seeking an experienced CNC Operator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in operating CNC machinery for woodworking, furniture production, and interior design applications. The ideal candidate will be skilled in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components for various interior design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and finish wood, MDF, and other materials based on project specifications. Program and set up CNC machines, ensuring the correct parameters and tools are selected for each job. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cutting lists to accurately execute tasks. Monitor machine operation and performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high-quality output. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet the design specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure timely completion of project components. Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe, adhering to all safety and operational guidelines. Maintain records of machine usage, material consumption, and production output. Optimize machine efficiency by reducing waste and improving operational processes. Stay up-to-date with advancements in CNC technology and techniques to improve production quality and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator in the woodworking, furniture, or interior design industry. Proficient in CNC programming and machine setup. Strong knowledge of CNC software (e.g., CAD/CAM systems) and operating procedures. Excellent understanding of materials, cutting techniques, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cutting lists. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine or production issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience with machine maintenance and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
