The job holder is responsible for configuring machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Record all production data in production papers (if necessary) and ERP System.
Plan machining by studying work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tooling; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Set-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting tools, gears, stops e.t.c.
Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards and specified specifications set by the management.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Perform Quality Control in cooperation with Quality Control Department and reject defected profiles if necessary.
Ensure the conformity to product and process requirements while performing the tasks.
Follow and adhere to the Company policies, rules and procedures.
Follow and adhere to the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements as per management's instructions.
Ensure that all activities are conforming to Qualanod and ISO9001 requirements.
