Job Description

Job Purpose:

To operate and maintain CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (lathe, milling, or turning centers) to produce parts as per technical drawings and work instructions. Review blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure correct machining operations. Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining processes. Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure tools are in optimal working condition. Adjust machine parameters to improve quality, efficiency, and accuracy. Maintain production documentation, inspection reports, and records of work performed. Follow company safety standards and quality procedures at all times. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality inspectors to resolve machining and process issues. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum

5-8 years of experience

as a CNC Machinist, preferably in heavy engineering or energy sector (experience in MAN engines or similar is an advantage). Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain controls). Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T symbols. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools. Ability to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety consciousness.
