Assists patients, families, and significant others with their psychological, social, environmental, financial, and emotional problems by conducting the needed psychosocial assessments related to presenting problems/concerns and providing the necessary interventions to enhance patient quality of life. Responsibilities

Managerial Manage workload allocation within the specialist area, prioritizing caseloads based on demands. Supervise junior staff and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Technical Take responsibility for vulnerable clients, including assessment, care planning, and resource identification. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and coordinate care plans. Advocate for patients, ensuring their wishes are central to care planning. Handle legal issues related to patient admissions and liaise with authorities. Participate in discharge planning and liaise with other agencies. Follow up on psychiatric visits and document findings. Respect patient rights, beliefs, and customs. Provide crisis interventions and participate in multidisciplinary meetings. Engage in psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions as needed. Quality & Safety Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality procedures. Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation. Participate in policy development and staff training. Qualifications BSc and MasteraEUR(TM)s degree in Social Work. Minimum two years of relevant experience.
