:
To receive, assert, reject samples and maintain adequate logs of the same.
Responsibilities:

• Accept samples after verifying patient demographics and test orders
• Follow sample rejection and re-collection procedures, maintaining proper logs
• For samples from outside NMC facilities, maintain temperature records and dispatch lists
• Distribute samples to appropriate areas within the laboratory
• Maintain cleanliness of the workplace and laboratory premises
• Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures; cooperate with hospital management to meet requirements
• Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures, instructions, and specific responsibilities
• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
• Notify relevant personnel of OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and assist with preparation of risk assessments and incident reports
• Comply with waste management procedures and policies
• Attend applicable OSH/Infection Control training programs, mock drills, and awareness sessions
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Secretarial Course or equivalent
• Minimum six months of experience in a healthcare setup
• Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic is desirable but not essential
• Demonstrated responsibility for continued professional growth beyond minimum preparation
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
