Job Summary:

The Bakery Production Cleaning Staff is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the production area, including equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and work surfaces. This role ensures that all cleaning tasks are carried out in compliance with food safety standards and internal hygiene protocols to support a safe and sanitary production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that the cleaning staff is not allergic or sensitive to chemical exposure and is physically fit to handle such substances. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washers and floor scrubbers. Use strong industrial cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following all safety instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Clean and sanitize all bakery equipment, tools, and machinery after production shifts. Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in production and storage areas. Dispose of food waste and packaging materials in accordance with waste management procedures. Clean and sanitize trays, racks, ovens, mixers, and other equipment as per the cleaning schedule. Refill soap dispensers, sanitizers, and other hygiene-related supplies as needed. Maintain cleaning logs and checklists to ensure documentation of completed tasks. Assist in pest control checks and report any signs of infestation or hygiene-related issues. Follow personal hygiene standards and wear proper PPE (gloves, apron, cap, mask, etc.) at all times. Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure cleaning tasks are scheduled without disrupting operations. Support in deep cleaning during shutdowns or scheduled maintenance periods. Report any unusual incidents/deviations (like pest issues, temperature deviations maintenance issues etc.) to the PIC OR supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in industrial or food production cleaning, preferably in a bakery or food processing environment. Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP). Familiarity with cleaning agents and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Good physical condition - able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg, and perform repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

Working Conditions:

Work environment includes exposure to heat, flour dust, cleaning chemicals, and wet/slippery surfaces.

Shift-based work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays, depending on the production schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1.00 per month
