Job Description

A Workshop Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a workshop environment, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal, while also ensuring a safe and organized workspace. They may also be involved in maintaining restrooms, refilling supplies, and reporting maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning:

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in the workshop, office, and showroom areas.

Surface Cleaning:

Dusting and wiping down furniture, equipment, and surfaces.

Waste Management:

Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste materials properly, including potentially hazardous materials.

Restroom Maintenance:

Cleaning and restocking restrooms, ensuring they are hygienic and well-maintained.

Inventory Management:

Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and stored.

Safety Compliance:

Following safety guidelines and using cleaning materials safely, including understanding how to handle and dispose of chemicals.

Reporting:

Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Workshop Specific Tasks:

Maintaining cleanliness of workshop floors, benches, and equipment, and potentially assisting with cleaning parts or tools.

Additional Duties:

Performing other cleaning or maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a workshop or similar environment.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.

Attention to Detail:

Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and address cleaning and maintenance issues.

Independence:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Safety Awareness:

Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
