Job Summary:

The Civil Technician

is responsible for executing a variety of civil maintenance tasks including carpentry, masonry, joinery, and painting work to ensure the upkeep, functionality, and aesthetic appearance of the building structure and interiors. The role supports both preventive and reactive maintenance activities in line with safety standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Carpentry & Joinery:

Repair and installation of wooden doors, frames, cabinets, shelves, drawers, skirting boards, and other wooden fixtures. Perform adjustments to locks, hinges, handles, and latches. Assemble, disassemble, or repair office furniture, partitions, and ceiling works. Carry out joinery and finishing work with precision. Carry out civil work related to move-in and move-out maintenance All other carpentry and joinery work when required

Masonry:

Conduct plastering, blockwork, tile fixing, concrete patching, floor repair, and crack sealing. Perform stone, marble, granite installation & repair work Repair structural or non-structural damages to walls, floors, and ceilings. All other masonry works as required

Painting & Finishing:

Prepare and paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture. Perform surface preparation including sanding, priming, putty filling, and touch-ups. Ensure quality of finishes and color matching as per property standards. Carry out painting work related to move-in and move-out maintenance All other civil works including painting and finishing works when required

General Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks across the building. Respond to work orders and reactive maintenance calls promptly and efficiently. Coordinate with other technicians (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC) for multidisciplinary tasks. Maintain safe and clean working conditions; follow proper use of tools and materials. Accurately record work completed, materials used, and report issues to the supervisor. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for one time job when required. Assist and complete move-in & move-out rectification works inside the apartment along with team including MEP & housekeeping work Coordinate with specialized service providers to execute PPM and reactive maintenance tasks related to specialized services Assist the waste collection company in positioning waste skips at the designated locations Attend repair and maintenance works in other properties when required Any other task assigned by the facilities supervisor, facilities engineer or management

Qualifications and Requirements:

I

TI or Diploma in Civil, Carpentry, or related technical trade.

Minimum 3-7 years of relevant experience in facilities or building maintenance.

Skilled in carpentry, masonry, joinery, and painting techniques.

Good knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

Physically fit and able to work in various site conditions (heights, confined spaces).

Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in facilities management or property maintenance environment.

UAE experience and understanding of local building codes and standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
