Job Description
Project oversight:
Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Technical supervision:
Act as the main technical advisor on site, checking designs and drawings for accuracy and ensuring all work adheres to project specifications.Quality and safety:
Enforce health and safety regulations and monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure standards are met.Team coordination:
Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.Resource management:
Oversee the requisition and selection of materials, and manage site staff and subcontractors.Problem-solving:
Identify and resolve any emerging problems, deficiencies, or delays that arise during the construction process.Reporting and documentation:
Prepare and submit progress reports, compile cost estimates, and ensure all technical documentation is completed and maintained.Site setup:
Undertake surveys and set out sites to ensure accurate and proper construction.Qualifications and skills
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction techniques. Proficiency in project management software like AutoCAD and Primavera is often required.
