Job Description

Summary

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing earthworks activities including cutting, filling, grading, and compaction for infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on site management skills, and the ability to ensure project quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities



Supervise daily site activities related to earthworks (cutting, filling, leveling, compaction). Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance. Coordinate with surveyors for setting out levels, alignments, and grades. Monitor productivity of equipment (excavators, dozers, dump trucks, graders, compactors). Ensure strict adherence to project quality standards and safety requirements. Liaise with Project Manager and Consultants regarding technical/site issues. Prepare daily site reports, work progress updates, and material consumption records. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery. Identify potential delays and propose corrective actions to keep the project on schedule. Assist in preparing interim payment certificates (IPC) by providing accurate site quantities. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in

infrastructure/earthworks projects (cutting, filling, roadworks, grading)

. Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, compaction requirements, and testing procedures. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools. Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance procedures. Valid UAE Driving License (preferred). Strong communication and leadership skills.
