AECOM Middle East is hiring a qualified Civil Inspector to oversee daily construction supervision of stormwater drainage and microtunneling works in Dubai. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and installation of stormwater drainage and microtunneling systems including pipelines, shafts, culverts, and chambers
• Review and ensure all work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project codes
• Monitor excavation, shoring, microtunneling drives, reinforcement, concrete pouring, waterproofing, and structural finishing activities
• Verify alignments, gradients, and levels to confirm compliance with approved design standards
• Ensure contractor operations align with Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, and other authority requirements
• Record daily manpower, material deliveries, and site activities in inspection logs
• Supervise concrete curing, coating, and lining works to maintain quality and durability
• Assist Resident Engineer (RE) and Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) with technical issues, inspections, and documentation
• Review method statements, RFIs, and test results, ensuring adherence to inspection and test plans (ITPs)
• Coordinate with contractors and authority inspectors to resolve non-conformities and track corrective actions
• Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of NCRs, test certificates, and as-built records
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final handover of stormwater systems

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure construction supervision, preferably in stormwater drainage and microtunneling projects
• Strong understanding of inspection and test plans (ITPs), QA/QC procedures, and material testing
• Previous experience with RTA or Dubai Municipality projects preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electronic inspection/reporting systems
• Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills
