Position Overview
Civil Inspector job in Dubai, UAE with Parsons Corporation, responsible for continuous inspection and supervision of infrastructure and civil construction works. Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous surveillance of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable standards
• Conduct civil and structural field tests including soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, air entrainment, compressive strength testing, coring, and lines and levels surveys
• Inspect underground piping works to verify alignment, bedding, slope, and joint tightness
• Monitor piling works to confirm correct location, depth, and bearing capacity
• Validate piping systems through P and ID checks and hydraulic or pressure testing as required
• Inspect electrical installations for proper grounding, circuit integrity, and compliance with statutory requirements
• Monitor painting and insulation works to ensure required thickness, coverage, and continuity
• Carry out general inspections of construction labor and subcontracted works to confirm workmanship quality
• Verify equipment alignment, installation accuracy, and balancing operations
• Participate in preparation of quality control documentation, inspection reports, and safety records
• Support development of job safety practices and contribute to safety reporting
• Assist with welder qualification tests when required
• Perform additional site inspection duties as assigned to support project delivery

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities
• Prior UAE experience preferred, with strong exposure to site inspection activities
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements accurately

Skills Set

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and inspection procedures
• Familiarity with field and laboratory testing standards for civil and infrastructure works
• Good understanding of quality control and site safety practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently in a site-based, fast-paced environment
