Stantec is currently looking for a Civil Inspector cum Land Surveyor to support on a construction supervision project related to drainage, storm water, wastewater and water distribution networks. Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail this following: The role involves working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring. Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Technical Delivery

\xef\x83\x98 Supervises/carries out field surveys as per project requirements and deliver in accordance with company/client requirements and guidelines. \xef\x83\x98 Ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment. \xef\x83\x98 Ability to oversee and manage survey aspects of site construction activities. \xef\x83\x98 Provide support to ensure the smooth execution of projects. \xef\x83\x98 Perform duties in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s highest quality expectations, health and safety policies and procedures. \xef\x83\x98 Liaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work. \xef\x83\x98 Prepare neat sketches to support the fieldwork. \xef\x83\x98 Preserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations). \xef\x83\x98 Perform any other essential duties that the immediate superior may assign from time to time.

• Collaboration and working as part of a team

\xef\x83\x98 Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required. \xef\x83\x98 Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations \xef\x83\x98 Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate the completion of tasks and projects. \xef\x83\x98 Good communicator.

• Client Service Management

\xef\x83\x98 Internal and external client liaison \xef\x83\x98 Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships \xef\x83\x98 Experience in utility diversions and management

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

\xef\x83\x98 Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures. \xef\x83\x98 Design for safety, i.e. Construction Design Management.

• Other duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Title: Civil Inspector / Land Surveyor Qualifications: f you have the following qualifications, we would love for you to be a part our diverse team:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree in Engineering from a recognized institute to the approval of the Engineer.

• 10 years of work experience

• Experience working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.

• Dubai Municipality approval an advantage
