Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Civil Inspector

with a strong background in consultancy and hands-on experience in

warehouse and industrial facility construction

. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting all civil works on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of civil works including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, floors, pavements, and finishing in warehouse projects. Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., BS, ACI, ASTM). Review and approve civil shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. Monitor site progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to safety standards. Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and discrepancies on-site. Participate in inspections related to concrete pours, rebar placement, formwork, and waterproofing systems. Inspect external works such as roadways, drainage systems, loading bays, and perimeter fencing. Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, and photographic documentation. Support project close-out and handover, including snagging and final inspections.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Civil Inspector, with at least 5 years in a consultancy role. Extensive experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial construction projects. In-depth knowledge of civil construction materials, techniques, and quality standards. Familiar with UAE construction regulations and local authority procedures. Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills. Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Preferred:

Experience with large-scale warehouse projects, including cold storage and high-load slab construction. Familiarity with approvals from UAE authorities (Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.).
