About the Role:

Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Civil Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting the installation of utilities and infrastructure works within a Large residential/housing project ensuring their compliancy with the codes and standards within the contract.

Key responsibilities and duties

are listed, but not limited to, the below:

Provide professional support to the project team, helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a co-ordinated response to clients Involve delegated trust and authority, together with the use of initiative, at a level commensurate with the status of the post Check site conditions for suitability prior to construction Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, Quality Management Plan in line with legislation, certification, contract requirements and parent company governance Observe, check and record work execution is in accordance with approved methods Manage QA implementation and assure full compliance with extensive QA/QC processes Check setting-out and levels Check services locations and ensure their protection Record inspections, tests, work executed etc. Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractor's safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required. Assist in the preparation of 'As Built' drawings To undertake specific projects as required

Candidate Specification:

Degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant engineering; additional certificates or qualifications in Health and Safety would be preferred Experience in Large residential/housing construction projects and infrastructure/utilities Proven experience in managing all HSE matters on large construction sites Experience within a consultancy environment is preferred Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects
