Position Overview
Civil Inspector supports the delivery of infrastructure and road projects in Dubai by ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, and UAE standards through continuous site inspection and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review applicable codes, standards, drawings, and contract documents to verify construction compliance
  • Carry out general inspections of construction and subcontractor works to ensure safe and workmanlike operations
  • Verify equipment setup, alignment, testing, and energization requirements on site
  • Maintain familiarity with detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements
  • Ensure contractor compliance with approved standards, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources
  • Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
  • Liaise daily with contractor teams to monitor resources, safety practices, and equipment availability
  • Prepare daily reports covering work orders, material deliveries, inspections, and site activities
  • Implement site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer
  • Apply all approved quality control and quality assurance procedures on site
  • Perform site measurements and surveying checks for alignments and levels as required
  • Coordinate with client representatives during site inspections in the presence of the engineering team
  • Assist with preparation of project correspondence in line with contract and site requirements
  • Support resolution of site issues in coordination with the engineering supervision team
  • Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover activities and maintain milestone records
  • Maintain records of material testing and completed works
  • Conduct audit inspections to confirm conformity with contract documents and approved submissions
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience on infrastructure and road projects
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience within the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, standards, and regulations
  • Proven experience in site inspections, quality control, and quality assurance
  • Competence in site measurements and basic surveying checks
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced site environments with attention to detail
