Position Overview
This Civil Inspector role with AECOM Dubai supports major infrastructure and road projects by ensuring full compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements. The position requires strong inspection capabilities, documentation accuracy, and close coordination with contractors and the Resident Engineer team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with codes, standards, and contract documents
• Inspect contractor and subcontractor works to ensure safe and high-quality execution
• Verify equipment alignment, settings, testing, and commissioning requirements
• Review drawings, specifications, and safety measures relevant to project execution
• Ensure contractor adherence to project specifications and performance standards
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, and site resources
• Conduct site inspections and supervision as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
• Follow up with contractors regarding resources, safety, and workflow needs
• Prepare daily reports including work orders, material deliveries, and inspection activities
• Implement site quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Assist with site measurements and surveying checks for levels and alignments
• Coordinate with client project managers during inspections
• Support the RE and ARE with correspondence related to site requirements
• Identify site problems and assist in resolving issues promptly
• Monitor commissioning, handover activities, and maintain milestone records
• Maintain documentation of material tests and completed works
• Conduct audit inspections for conformity with contract documents

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects, including at least 3 years in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, codes, and regulations
• Skilled in site inspections, QA/QC procedures, and surveying checks
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced site environment
