Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Civil Inspector

with strong experience in

piling works

to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting all piling-related activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily inspections of piling activities, including bored piles, driven piles, CFA piles, and micro piling. Ensure that pile locations, alignment, depth, diameter, and reinforcement are in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Supervise concrete pouring operations and ensure compliance with mix design and placement procedures. Monitor and document pile integrity tests (PIT), sonic logging, and static/dynamic load tests. Verify the calibration and operation of piling equipment and instruments. Review and approve contractor's method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material submittals related to piling. Identify and report non-conformance issues; follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and site activities. Liaise with geotechnical engineers, consultants, contractors, and project management team. Ensure site safety practices are followed, especially around heavy machinery and deep excavation areas.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum

5 years of experience

in civil inspection, with at least

3 years focused on piling works

. Strong understanding of geotechnical and structural requirements related to pile foundations. Knowledge of international standards and codes (e.g., ASTM, BS, Eurocode, ACI). Familiarity with QA/QC processes and documentation. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant inspection/reporting software. Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills. Valid certifications in site safety or QA/QC (preferred).
