A Civil Foreman oversees and coordinates construction activities on civil engineering projects such as villas, residential, commercial, high rise towers. They act as the frontline supervisor, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise construction crews and subcontractors on-site.
Plan and schedule daily tasks, labor, equipment, and materials.
Monitor progress against project timelines and budgets.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and resolve any issues or delays.
Communicate with stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and project managers.
Maintain records of attendance, work progress, and costs.
Train and guide workers, and sometimes assist with hands-on tasks.
Resolve personnel issues, including morale, disputes, and performance concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
3-5 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and local building regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
