Job Summary

The Civil Foreman - Fit-Out is responsible for supervising and coordinating all site activities related to civil, architectural, and interior fit-out works on commercial building projects. The role ensures that work is executed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Execution

Supervise day-to-day fit-out activities including partitions, ceilings, flooring, finishes, and civil interface works. Ensure work is executed in line with project plans, drawings, and method statements. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to maintain workflow and productivity. Monitor progress and provide daily updates to the Site Engineer/Construction Manager.

Quality Control

Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship meets project standards. Highlight discrepancies in drawings or materials and report to the engineering team. Ensure correct installation of materials per manufacturer guidelines.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce site safety rules and ensure workers comply with company HSE policies. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid clashes during the fit-out stage. Maintain daily site reports, manpower logs, and progress records. Assist in material planning, inventory control, and ensuring timely availability of resources.

Team Leadership

Manage and guide skilled and unskilled labor on site. Resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays. Ensure proper workmanship and motivate workers to achieve targets.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred). 5+ years experience in civil or fit-out works in commercial buildings (malls, offices, hospitals, hotels). Strong knowledge of interior finishes, civil works, and construction sequence. Ability to read and interpret drawings (civil, architectural, shop drawings). Good communication, leadership, and site management skills. Familiar with safety standards and procedures.
