Job Location Sultanate of OMAN
One of the highly reputed University in Oman invites applications for an Assistant/Associate professor position in Construction Engineering and Management. The appointment will be made, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications, with an anticipated start date in January 2023. The appointee will be required to: (a) Undertake teaching duties at various levels (BSc, MSc, PhD) in the area of Construction Engineering and Management including but not limited to Construction Engineering, Administration of Contracts, Simulation Modeling, Optimization Techniques, Project Management, Engineering Economics, and Estimating Construction Cost; (b) Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and theses; (c) Conduct research in related areas and contribute to the development of the Department’s research strengths; (d) Initiate, lead, and participate in scholarly research in their areas of expertise; (e) Be active in conducting research leading to quality journal publications and in bidding for external research grants and applied research projects; (f) Engage in program/curriculum planning, development and administration; and (g) Undertake relevant administrative duties as assigned by the Head of the Department Benefits: The academic grade and the entailed salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience for the announced position. Job Profile
(a) Have a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from an accredited university (b) Have substantial years of relevant post-PhD experience (c) Have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research (d) Have an excellent proven record in research and scholarship achievement (e) Be able to demonstrate effective classroom teaching skills and have good interpersonal skills; and
