Position Summary



We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Civil Engineer

to join our Construction Department for the

Sharjah Project

. The Civil Engineer will assist the Construction Department Deputy Manager in executing all civil construction works efficiently--ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities



Construction & Site Management



Execute and supervise civil construction works to meet technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze survey reports, maps, tests, and other data for design and execution. Prepare technical and feasibility studies, including blueprints and cost analyses. Assess project risks, material requirements, and cost estimates. Provide technical advice and innovative solutions to resolve design or construction issues. Oversee and mentor site staff and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Monitor daily progress and prepare detailed project reports. Manage budgets, procure materials and equipment, and ensure optimal resource utilization. Ensure all works are executed in compliance with permits, safety regulations, and approved drawings. Maintain and submit technical files, inspection records, and quality documentation as required.

Quality & Documentation



Implement and enforce quality control measures for all civil works. Ensure accurate recordkeeping in accordance with company management systems. Provide data and insights for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Support planning teams in developing and updating construction schedules.

EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Responsibilities



Ensure full implementation of the Environmental, Health & Safety Construction Management Plan (EHS-CMP). Conduct safety inductions for new site personnel and enforce compliance with safety standards. Communicate risk assessments and promote safety awareness across all site activities. Implement the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities. Report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions as per company and client procedures. Conduct regular toolbox talks and promote a proactive safety culture among workers. Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are inspected, properly stored, and safely handled. Verify that construction chemicals are managed as per Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Collaboration & Coordination



Work closely with the Construction Department Deputy Manager to monitor and report on work progress. Coordinate with the Technical Department for RFIs, shop drawings, and CVIs. Address and close all NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and CARs (Corrective Action Reports) related to civil works. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction projects (infrastructure or building works). Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and QA/QC procedures. Knowledge of UAE construction standards, local authority requirements, and HSE compliance. Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
