A

civil engineer in building construction

is responsible for the planning, design, and oversight of a project from start to finish, ensuring it is safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations.

Core responsibilities:

Design and planning:

Create detailed designs and blueprints using specialized software, ensuring they meet project requirements, architectural plans, and relevant codes.

Site management:

Oversee daily on-site activities, including excavation, concrete pouring, and rebar placement. This involves planning and scheduling work, delegating tasks, and managing laborers.

Project management:

Manage project budgets, estimate material and labor costs, and ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Risk assessment:

Analyze geological, environmental, and soil data to identify potential risks and ensure project feasibility and safety.

Compliance and safety:

Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.

Collaboration:

Work closely with architects, surveyors, contractors, and government agencies to ensure effective project execution.

Problem-solving:

Identify and resolve issues that arise during the design and construction phases.

Requirements and skills:

Proven working experience in civil engineering for 2 -5 years in UAE. Experiences in

high rise buildings, towers and villas.

Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc. Project management and supervision skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. License of professional engineer. BS/MA in Civil Engineering.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:

civil engineer : 2 years (Preferred)
