Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer - Civil to oversee and manage quality assurance and quality control processes across civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure strict compliance with project specifications, international standards (ISO 9001), and client expectations by implementing quality systems, inspecting site activities, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

This position plays a key role in maintaining high technical standards, driving quality improvements, and ensuring timely approvals for all QA/QC deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities



Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in alignment with company and project requirements.

Perform site inspections, material inspections, and quality checks during all stages of construction to ensure compliance with civil engineering standards.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure consistent quality control practices and timely resolution of quality issues.

Conduct technical evaluations, internal quality audits, and prepare detailed QA/QC reports with corrective and preventive actions (NCRs).

Ensure documentation and traceability of all inspections, audits, and QA/QC meetings.

Monitor the first-time approval rate for method statements, work inspection requests (WIRs), material inspection requests (MIRs), and O&M manuals.

Train and create quality awareness among site personnel, in coordination with HR, to foster a quality-first culture.

Stay updated on changes in ISO 9001 and QA/QC best practices and share recommendations with the management.

Key Performance Indicators

% First-time approvals (Method Statements, WIRs, MIRs, O&M manuals)

Number of NCRs raised during internal/external audits

Timely submission of QA/QC documents

Customer satisfaction and quality audit scores

Training sessions conducted for staff/workers

Maintaining high standards in documentation and on-site civil execution

Adhering to ISO 9001 and project-specific QMS requirements

Communicating effectively with diverse teams and ensuring quality compliance

Educating non-technical staff and site workers on quality awareness

Ensuring QA/QC documentation is complete and submitted on schedule

Recommending corrective/preventive actions post internal quality reviews

Approving or rejecting work based on quality standards

Internal: Site Engineers, Project Managers, HR, Document Controllers

External: Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers

Required Skills and Qualifications



Education:



Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience:



5-8 years of QA/QC experience in the civil construction sector

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Middle East / GCC region

Technical Skills:



In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures in construction

Familiarity with ISO 9001, QMS documentation, and ITPs

Competency in root cause analysis and NCR management

Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation tools

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
