Job Profile
Civil Engineer position is where the engineer will be involved in all stages of a project, from Tender to Build, Commissioning and Maintenance of Civil Contracting projects, including but not limited to New Buildings, Refurbishments, Demolition, Remodels, Interior Works etc. The role will be mainly office based but will include site visits and work if required.
Responsibilities
Office Duties
Prepare the Tender Documentation as per Consultant or Regulatory Body Design and create B.O.Q with pricing details.
Review and design the project as per Regulatory, Consultant or Client requirement, matching product specifications in required positions.
Conduct site visits to understand the scope of work for projects and understand measurements
Create estimations of awarded projects based on materials rates, labour costs and other associated costs working together with Design and Accounting teams
Conduct and implement value engineering assessments for awarded projects
Create the design drawings in coordination with other services as per initial designs
Coordinate with Site Engineers or manage a team of technical personnel and coordinate with all site personnel for timely completion of the project
Monitor site progress through work reports provided and in comparison, to planned, scheduled and completed work, noting down use of tools and materials and safety violations if any.
Note down any changes that occur at site with respect to design, site revisions or site requirement and present it to the responsible parties in a timely fashion to make sure that no errors are present
Site Duties
Execute design on site in coordination with the consultant, client and site engineers and managers in accordance with the design drawings adhering to the specifications as per approved by Regulatory Body, Client, and Consultant
Attend client, consultant, regulatory body meetings to understand the requirements and inform the manager and other major stakeholders about the new information to best incorporate into the project or the upcoming projects and update the project details to required specifications to avoid further issues during project completion, handover, inspection, T&C or Maintenance periods
Common Duties
Create or verify M.R.F as per site requirement in advance to ensure availability of work materials at all times
Create and/or verify created equipment lists, material work orders and design parameters of ductwork and other mechanical component works
Check and Sign D.O, Material Return Form, and other documentation to ensure delivery and return of products are handled as per standards
Perform Initial Risk Assessment and create documentation for further study
Ensure safety protocols are followed and ensure safety training is conducted weekly
Attend Client, Consultant meetings and note down required points for our work and raise the issues to the client or consultant as required
Conduct routine maintenance of under Defect Liability Period projects in coordination with other team members and client/M.E.P Contractors
Conduct Routine Maintenance as and when asked to by Maintenance Team
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or Science in Civil Engineering
Previous experience in a similar position for minimum 5 years
DM Accreditation in Building Contracting (G+1)
HSE Certification
Software Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite
Microsoft Project or Primavera or Similar
AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks or Similar
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
